Congratulations to Beth Potter who won the England 5 Mile Road Race Championships, at the Alsager 5 on 31 January, Breaking the course record that had stood since 1991, with a time of (25.34).
Start Fitness Metropolitan League – The final fixture of five took place at Trent Park on 8 February. This was probably the most succesful season we have had, in which we finished with 8 Individual winners based on the 5 races – Posie Shaw U11, Arthur Phillips U11, Gianleo Stubbs U13, Samuel Greenstein U15, Joanne Miranda U17, Indira Patel U20, Dylan Evans SM. and Jo Kent V50. Also 4 of our teams were league winners – U11 Boys, U13 Boys, U15/U17 Men and U15/U17 Women.
Southern U20 and Senior Championships took place at Lee Valley on 1-2 February. Congratulations to our 3 gold medalists, Page Fairclough U23 (60m and 200m), Akin Coward (High Jump) and Nathan Fox (Triple Jump). There were Silver Medals from Phillipa Lowe (800m) and Emma Andersson (Piole Vault). There were Bronze Medals from Jessica Hunter (60m Hurdles), Jazz Sears U20 (Triple Jump) and Eavion Richardson U23 (Triple Jump).
