This is the 25th time the Championships have taken place, with the first one in 1970 in Paris, France.
Commiseration’s to KRISTIAN IMROTH who in the Final of the 3000m Steeplechase had a fall at the water jump. He was running perfectly as planned sitting out of trouble and made his move to the front with 1km to go, cruised past the field and went into the top 3 over the water jump, took a clip and went down and rolled. He was 25m back when he got up. He laboured on, and got to finish line. Currently on crutches just as a precaution.
Obviously absolutely gutted as genuinely feel he was prepped to maybe snatch a medal and given the pace – who knows.
He’s bitterly disappointed, but that’s part of athletics. But at 17 to be in the Euro final is a fantastic achievement, sadly it didn’t get the end result his hard work deserved

3000m Steeplechase – Heat 2 KRISTIAN IMROTH 5th (9:05.96) in the Final KRISTIAN finished 14th (9:25.19)
