THE NATIONAL ROAD RELAYS – took place last week-end at Sutton Park, Birmingham. SBH had outstanding results from our Senior Men/Women and our Young Athletes. I was present on Sunday and witnessed our Young Athletes produce our best all-round performance for many a year. Conditions when I arrived at 10am were atrocious as the rain was very heavy and continued until 3 o’clock only giving up just before the final race (Under 17 Men). The Senior Men/Women had almost the same conditions as Saturday.

2 TEAM GOLD MEDALS AT THE NATIONAL ATHLETES ROAD RELAYS – Our Under 13 Boys and Under 17 Men both dominated their respective races to secure the team GOLD MEDALS, with top 8 finishes for the Under 15 Boys in 7th place and the Under 17 Women in 8th place.
