FROM MEL ELLIS – Thought I’d drop you a line to let you know that I’m cycling from London to Paris with my brother to raise money for the hospice which took great care of my dad during the last two weeks of his life. I’m completely out of my comfort zone as I’m no cyclist, long distance running is so much easier, to me anyway. I don’t know whether this is appropriate but wondered if there were any members of Shaftesbury Barnet who would be interested in sponsoring me. If so this is the link to my Just Giving page Mel has been a member of Shaftesbury since 1995 running mainly on the road, and ran 2:46.55 in the 1998 Boston Marathon.
