GLL SPORT FOUNDATION AWARDS
GLL Sport Foundation in 2013 has supported 68 athletes, with a direct financial support value of £14,250 and a complete support value of £42,500.
GLL Sport Foundation 2014 applications are now open. Athletes have from now until 20/02/14 to apply for support at www.gllsportfoundation.org.
We expect another significant year of support across Barnet, and with major World, Commonwealth, European and National competitions equally inspiring athlete achievements will be made, for which we will keep you updated with.

The British Athletics Championships (Including World Championship Trials) took place in Sheffield on 8-9 February
60m – Senior Men Heat 1 JOHN OTUGADE U20 2nd (6.82), Heat 4 CONFIDENCE LAWSON 4th (6.80), Heat 5 OJIE EDOBURUN U20 2nd (6.78), Semi-Final 1 JOHN came 3rd (PB 6.73) which equals his 26 January time, Semi-Final 2 OJIE came 3rd (PB 6.71) taking .02 of a second off his Southern run, and is ranked UK No.1 U20 in 2014, Semi-Final 3. In the Final OJIE ran just outside his earlier PB finishing 8th (6.72).
200m – Senior Men Heat 5 ANTONIO INFANTINO 2nd (SB 21.51)
400m – Senior Men Heat 2 RICHARD MORRISSEY 3rd (SB 47.79), Heat 4 SEB RODGER 3rd (47.94), Semi-Final 2 RICHARD finished 6th (47.93)
800m – Senior Men Heat 2 ANTHONY WHITEMAN V40 3rd (SB 1:50.92) and is ranked UK No.1 V40 in 2014
1500m – Senior Men Heat 3 ZAC RANDALL U23 4th (3:55.01)
1500m – Senior Women Final MELISSA COURTNEY U23 3rd (4:14.86) taking .21 of a second off her January, also lowering her own Senior/U23 Indoor Club record, and is ranked UK No.1 U23 also UK No.3 Senior Women in 2014
3000m – Senior Women Final BETH POTTER U23 7th (9:27.35)
60m Hurdles – Senior Women Heat 2 GEMMA BENNETT 1st (SB 8.21) and in the Final GEMMA 1st (SB 8.20) and is ranked UK No.2 in 2014
High Jump – Senior Men Final ALLAN SMITH U23 3rd (SB 2.24m) and is ranked UK No.1 U23 in 2014, ROMEO SITHOLE 10th (2.07m)

Pole Vault – Senior Men Final GREGOR MACLEAN Equal 4th (5.30m), ADAM CARPENTER U23 Equal 8th (PB 5.15m) adding 10cm to his vault last week, and is ranked UK No.4 U23 in 2014

Triple Jump – Senior Men Final NATHAN FOX 2nd (PB 16.37m) adding 15cm to his 2013 jump, and is ranked UK No.2 in 2014, DANIEL LEWIS 3rd (PB 16.31) adding 27cm to his 2013 jump, and is ranked UK No.3 in 2014
Triple Jump – Senior Women Final NADIA WILLIAMS 2nd (SB 13.27m) and is ranked UK No.2 in 2014
