THE RENOVATION WORKS AT THE SHAFTESBURY BARNET HARRIERS CLUB HOUSE ARE GOING TO PLAN – The air conditioning units have been fitted as have the new light fittings. A new Club sign has been ordered and will now be over the entrance door trackside. The three large additional windows have been fitted as has the new flooring. The new portacabin next to the Clubhouse has had the SBH cardio-vascular equipment moved into it and will also be used as a lecture room for the Middlesex University students taking Sports Science degrees. We are told by the contractors that the works will probably take a further week or so, which includes the redecoration. We are still waiting for the estimate for the works to the roof. In addition, Middlesex University will be supplying new weights equipment. There will also be a change of access and use, with a Photo/Card entry system on all 3 doors (2 external and 1 internal). Information on how to register for the Photo/Card entry system will be published shortly.
