ADVANCE NOTICE FOR ALL ATHLETES AND COACHES WHO USE ALLIANZ PARK – Saracens have qualified for a home quarter final in the European Champions Cup on Saturday 9 April against Northampton with KO at 17.45. As a condition of this match taking place at Allianz Park, Saracens need to increase the maximum capacity from 10,000 to 15,000 to meet the criteria outlined by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR). Saracens have obtained Barnet Council approval and as a result the two stands of temporary seating at the North and South ends of the Stadium will be enlarged. During the period Monday 28 March through to Friday 15 April there will be disruption to availability of the bends and users will be restricted to access to the home straight and back straight, together with the pitch and the indoor area. The external jumps and throws areas remain unaffected. Saracens recognise the inconvenience and disruption this may cause some of you in the lead up to our first round of fixtures on Sunday 17 April and are appreciative of your understanding during this window. Richard Gregg | Stadium Director
CONGRATULATIONS TO DAN BRAMBLE – Following his outstanding win in the British Championships, DAN has been selected to compete for GB&NI in the Long Jump at the World Indoor Championships in Portland, Oregon on the 17-20 March.
JADE LALLY’S 3 ASTONISHING DAYS – Congratulations to JADE who took apart her personal best twice, firstly in Auckland, New Zealand on 25 February she threw (64.22m), and then in Sydney, Australia on 27 February she threw (65.10m).
In Auuckland JADE’S series of 6 attempts, included 2 throws over 63m and 2 throws over 64m, with her best throw (64,22m) coming in the second round. 2 Days later JADE arrived in Sydney and with her 2nd attempt broke through the 65m barrier. I contacted JADE after Sydney, and she commented “The past couple of days have been crazy. It’s just gone mad! So, so mad! “, and she is now travelling to compete in Melbourne , before flying home to the UK.
JADE is now UK No.1 and also moves her up to No.2 on the British all-time list, and last but not least has achieved the British qualification distance for Rio of (61.00m). Her own Club Record of (60.76m) was set at Copthall on 9 July 2011.
