 SBH OUTSTANDING AT BRITISH INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS – We came away from Sheffield with 4 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal. Congratulations to our Gold Medallists, firstly to ALLAN SMITH whose 2.29m in the High Jump added a massive 3cm to his personal best, being a Scottish and SBH Club Record and now UK No.1. In the 200m final ANTONIO INFANTINO ran sub 21 seconds winning the Gold Medal (SB 20.96) taking .01 of a second off his 1 February time, and is ranked UK No.2 in 2015, his time is in fact is only .01 of a second behind Donovan Reid’s current Club Record of (20.95) which he recorded in February 1987 . DANIEL BRAMBLE took the Gold in the Long Jump, with a New Club Indoor Record of (7.90m) adding 10cm to his previous best set in February 2013, and is ranked UK No.2 in 2015. Finally ZANE DUQUEMIN with his 2nd attempt set a season’s best (17.72m) in the Shot Putt, and is ranked UK No.2 in 2015.

In the Triple Jump NATHAN FOX won the Silver Medal with his 6th attempt (SB 16.25m) adding 50cm to his 1 February jump, and is ranked UK No.2 in 2015, and NONSO OKOLO won the Bronze Medal with his 2nd attempt (Indoor PB 15.60m) adding 72cm to his 2008 jump, and is ranked UK No.3 in 2015.

There were many other excellent performances, including STEFFI WILSON U23 whose season’s best (24.38) in the 200m which ranks her UK No.3 U23, LILY BECKFORD U20whose season’s best (55.10) in the 400m ranks her UK No.2 U20 and a New Indoor Club Record and GEORGIA BELL U23 whose season’s best (2:07.12) in the 800m ranks her UK No.7 U23.

 SBH were awarded the CLUB CONNECT first prize of £500 for scoring the most points in the men’s events of the British Indoor Championships.

60m Men Heat 1 OJIE EDOBURUN U20 1st (6.81), Heat 2 CONFIDENCE LAWSON 2nd (6.84), Heat 5 JOHN OTUGADE U23 2nd (6.86), in semi-final 1 JOHN finished 3rd (6.79) and CONFIDENCE finished 4th (6.87), semi-final 2 OJIE finished 2nd (6.75) the final was a close race with OJIE finishing in 5th place (6.74)

60m Women Heat 2 STEFFI WILSON U23 3rd (SB 7.65), SHEREEN CHARLES 4th (7.69), Heat 5 PAGE FAIRCLOUGH U20 6th (PB 7.68) taking .03 of a second off her 1 February time, in semi-final 1 SHEREEN finished 5th (SB 7.65) equalling her January time, STEFFI finished 6th (7.67), in semi-final 2 PAGE finished 8th (7.71)

200m Men Heat 1 ANTONIO INFANTINO 1st (21.24), in the semi-final 1 ANTONIO finished 1st (21.10) and in the final won the Gold Medal (SB 20.96) taking .01 of a second off his 1 February time, and is ranked UK No.2 in 2015

200m Women Heat 2 STEFFI WILSON U23 3rd (SB 24.38) taking .29 of a second off her 8 February time, and is ranked UK No.3 U23 in 2015, in the final STEFFI finished 6th (24.64)

400m Women Heat 1 LILY BECKFORD U20 2nd (SB 55.10) taking .52 of a second off her January time, and is ranked UK No.2 U20 in 2015, it is also a New Indoor Club Record eclipsing Marilyn Okoro’s 54.99 set in 2004, in semi-final 2 LILY finished 4th (55.62)

800m Men Heat 2 RICHARD CHARLES U23 6th (SB 1:54.75)

800m Women Heat 2 GEORGIA BELL U23 3rd (SB 2:07.12) taking 3.77 seconds off her January time, and is ranked UK No.7 U23 in 2015

1500m Women Heat 2 MELISSA COURTNEY U23 3rd (4:26.97) in the final MELISSA finished 4th (4:17.90)

60m Hurdles Men Heat 3 ASHLEY WILSON (HCA) 7th (8.45)

CAU INTER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS – Takes place on Saturday 7 March at Cofton Park, Birmingham B31 2BQ. Timetable to follow. Note: You will have to be selected by your respective County

NORTH WEST LONDON LEAGUE – The final fixture takes place on Saturday 28 March at Wormwood Scrubs, Linford Christie Stadium, Du Cane Road (SatNav W12 0AE). Enter main car park off Du Cane Road (via Artillery Lane), through 6’6” height/width barrier. Extra parking will be available in the enclosed/fenced hospital parking area. Parking is free in all areas at the week-end. Awaiting Timetable. Note: You do not have to be pre-entered, just turn up and run.

The Scottish National U15/U20 Championships (Indoors) took place in Glasgow on 15 February 200m – Heat 2 JESSIE CONCANNON U20 3rd (26.66) in the final JESSIE finished 6th (26.95)

 The Millrose Games (Indoors) took place in New York, USA on 14 February 800m MARILYN OKORO 5th (SB 2:04.91) taking 1.22 seconds off her January time, and is ranked UK No.5 in 2015

The Harvard – Yale – Princeton Tri-Meeting (Indoors) took place in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA on 14 February 1000m LIZZIE BIRD U23 3rd (PB 2:52.14) taking .51 of a second off her 2014 time, and is ranked UK no.4 U23 in 2015

The Ontario Senior Championships (Indoors) took place in Toronto, Canada on 14 February 1500m PHILIPPA AUKETT won the Bronze Medal (SB 4:52.77)
