COMMONWEALTH GAMES PREVIEW – I have been in touch with our athletes this week, and have an update on KYLE LANGFORD who told me “Build up to the games has been really good, i have been up in Falls Creek in Victoria getting some altitude training. It’s been one of them things that I just want to get racing so I’m counting down the days and I’m raring to go! I feel trainings been going well and there is definitely a big chance of a medal, I’m going out to have fun racing and I know the performances will come”. Also ZANE DUQUEMIN  is preparing to fly out and he told me “I fly on the 24th and actually head straight into the village. Preparations have been frustrating to be honest. I developed an issue with my shoulder last season and it’s still hanging on refusing to completely go so we’ve had to adapt training but we’re hopefully on the right track now and expect to be in good shape come April the 12th! Hopefully a bit of sun will help in the lead up”.

CURRENT DISTRIBUTION OF SHAFTESBURY INFORMATION Currently I notify members (by email) using “MailChimp”. The reason I changed, was in November last year “Gmail” put a limit of 100 addresses that users could send to in a 24-hour period, and currently I send to approximately 850 members each issue.

On seeking technical advice “MailChimp” was recommended as the best way for SBH to go forward. There is one thing you should be aware off is that when you receive an email from me, the footer at the bottom has 4 options, of which one is “Unsubscribe Me From List”. Could I ask you not to select this as if you do you will be automatically removed from my distribution list.
